history

From an early age, Jared Miller was immersed in the spirit of entrepreneurship, witnessing firsthand as his parents built their family business, R&T Ellis Excavation, from the ground up. His appreciation for hard work was shaped during high school summers and college breaks where he spent time as a field hand cutting logs and hauling dirt.

After graduating from Texas A&M in 2012, he pursued a career in the midstream industry where he gained knowledge in project management and estimating. Still inspired to create something of his own, he returned to his parent’s business and leveraged his midstream experience to form the RT Ellis Pipeline Services division. With continued expansion and new opportunities that arose from the division’s prominence, the vision for his own company began to take form.

By January 2020, RT Ellis Pipeline Services was a trusted name in the midstream construction industry and Jared recognized the time had come to start his own company. Jared acquired RT Ellis Pipeline Services in the same year and Milltex was created, a name that honors both his roots (Miller) and his home state (Texas).

Over the next five years, Milltex, doing business as RT Ellis Pipeline Services, saw continued success and a solidified reputation as a premier facilities construction company. At the end of 2024, an effort to streamline communication, mitigate confusion, and move forward under one unified company name was made.

In 2025, the company officially began operating solely as Milltex. With this move, Jared fulfilled his goal of honoring his parents through the success of RT Ellis Pipeline Services while positioning Milltex for future growth.
